Cost of services

We understand that cost is a very important factor in your decision to pursue treatment. We strive to be as transparent as possible and provide resources to make treatment accessible to anyone who needs care. We can connect you to financing or explain how to receive reimbursement from your insurance company in order to reduce any strain on your budget. Psychedelic Assisted Therapy is generally a short-term intensive intervention, and many of our clients see big changes in their mental health. This is particularly notable as most of our clients have tried everything else and haven’t found success. Below you will find answers to some frequently asked questions about cost. If you have additional needs, please feel free to contact us directly.

Frequently ASked Questions

  • Our protocol for Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy is an approximately 2 month-intensive process that includes an assessment, 2 preparation sessions, and integration sessions equal to the number of medicine sessions. Generally, our prescribing partners recommend an average of 6 medicine sessions. The cost, depending on the type of ketamine (IV or oral) ranges from approximately $2600 to $4000 for the full 2-month protocol. At times, we may need to add additional sessions at the rate of $150/hr. Each client will have a good idea of their specific cost once we have completed the initial assessment ($200). Clients are never required to complete their protocol or pay upfront. Our services are 100% optional and billed by the hour.

  • Clients who have independently decided to use other non-legal psychedelics can receive preparation (before) and integration (after) sessions, but we do not sit, guide, or interact with these substances in any way. Each individuals plan is custom. These clients would start with a 75-minute assessment ($200) and each additional therapy hour is $150. Clients will have a good idea of overall cost upon assessment and all services are optional.

  • Not directly. Insurance companies do not currently pay for ketamine itself (IV or oral) and we are not paneled with any insurance providers. However, many insurance policies provide benefits for out-of-network services.

In this case, you may submit a claim to your insurer to receive reimbursement for any therapy sessions at whatever percentage your policy designates. For example, your insurance card may say something like “OON 80%.” This could indicate an 80% reimbursement rate. In this scenario, $1,000 of therapy would only cost $200, though you wold need to pay up front and be reimbursed later. We can help you to understand this process and connect you with services that make submitting claims very simple.

It is a good idea to call the 1-800 number on the back of your card and ask if your policy includes out-of-network benefits for psychotherapy. If you ask if Ketamine Therapy is covered, they will likely say no. Again, the medicine is not covered, but therapy for depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, OCD, etc. are likely to be covered if you have a policy with out-of-network benefits.
